    World Amateur Poker

    This is an event open to both adults and juniors alike. Practice your live poker and you may even get to call yourself the Amateur World Champion.



    We don't play for money just medals. This gives a unique opportunity for under 18s to show how good they are with a junior title up for grabs too!

    We will be in a central London venue at the University of London Union is the confirmed venue for the 2013 Mind Sports Olympiad, the same as the last two years. The venue is fully equiped for wheelchair access.

    Special locations

    Two events are taking place at different locations to the main venue as part of the 2013 MSO. There is a Starcraft II computer competition occurring at Meltdon, 342 Caledonian Road, N1, London

    Accommodation

    University of London offers some basic accommodation http://www.halls.london.ac.uk/visitor/Default.aspx

    There are many places to stay in London a few that you might want to look at are the same as last year:

    The local university rooms are a good solution. Be careful to check proximity to the venue http://www.londonuniversityrooms.co.uk/

    A good value option is the President's Hotel in Russell Square.
    It is located about a 15-10 minute walk from the tournament, and is well priced.

    Similarly, most hotels in Russell Square should offer good value, and can be searched via http://www.expedia.com.

    The International Students House at Great Portland Street is also a good, cheap option.

    The London School of Economics also offers accommodation.

    Tourism

    With our central London venue there are plenty of opportunities to visit many of London's other attractions.
