Card Games

A card game is any game that uses a standard pack of 52 cards. Most card games involve each player having a hand of cards that they can chose which card to play. This is not true for all versions of poker which a player cannot change the outcome of the final worth of their hand from any play of the cards and better fits as a psychological game. The probabilities for hands dealt from a shuffled pack of cards are well understood.

Although many of these games are normally played for money due to licensing and gaming rules in the UK we cannot give cash prizes for games that are categorised as games of luck. The other reason for not having gambling is that our competitions are open to everyone regardless of age and to allow juniors to play for money is clearly a breech of the law.
